The Adult Women Residential program is designed for women ages 18 and older. While living in a dormitory setting, women participate in individual and group counseling on drug and alcohol addiction using the latest trauma-informed evidence-based substance abuse treatment modalities.
Living Arrangements
Residential clients live in a dormitory on the La Prada campus and are responsible for maintaining their living environment. Through this community structure, clients receive positive peer support as they learn responsibility and life skills.
Counselors
Upon admission to Nexus, clients are assigned a primary counselor who remains with them throughout their residential stay. Nexus counselors assess clients to determine the factors contributing to their drug addiction including trauma, family dysfunction, and mental health factors and design and implement an individualized treatment plan to begin to address these issues.
FamiliesFamily members are encouraged to participate in the family education program to help them understand the dynamics of chemical dependency and the effect of addiction on families as well as clients. Also, clients attend parenting classes to learn child development and behavior strategies. |
