Nexus Recovery Center is fortunate to be a part of a larger community, which provides important social services and expands our ability to serve our clients.  While our clients are under our care, we provide case management services to connect our clients to agencies offering assistance in employment, housing, medical care, children’s services and continued recovery.  Our staff also works closely with referral agencies such as other treatment centers, hospitals and the judicial system to make sure that clients needing our services know about Nexus.  Finally, we connect to the recovery community at large providing links to education and advocacy services locally and nationally.

The Dallas Independent School District (DISD)

The DISD mission is to prepare all students to graduate with the knowledge and skills to become productive and responsible citizens.  That mission does not stop when a student is homeless, the child of a recovering addict, or confined to a residential treatment program.

The district’s Hospital/Homebound Program provides teachers onsite for the Adolescent Program and the Homeless Services Department works closely with our children’s services director to provide a variety of assistance.  DISD also provides spring and winter break camps along with summer activities to our school-aged children.
