Living Arrangements
Our clients live together in a family-like environment and participate in their own house management. The girls attend school on the Nexus La Prada campus five days a week, six hours per day. The Dallas Independent School District provides Nexus with two accredited teachers for our classroom. Enrichment activities are offered during the summer months.
Family Education
A weekly multi-family group is required for all the adolescent clients and their families. In addition, family weekend is held once a month, and individual family therapy is available. We believe that family participation is crucial to the success in recovery of the adolescent, and this comprehensive treatment model supports the family in creating a home environment that will foster the adolescent's ongoing recovery.
Adolescent Outpatient Program
The Adolescent Outpatient Program offers individual, group and family counseling. The program is designed for chemically dependent and abusive adolescent females ages 13 to 17 years old. Family participation and involvement is strongly encouraged. Multi-family group is a required group that meets every Monday night. Family participation is mandated with the understanding that the client’s success in recovery is partly dependent on the family’s knowledge of addiction and the recovery process.
Counseling is available Monday and Wednesday 6:00pm-8:00pm on our La Prada campus. Call admissions 214.321.0156, ext. 3118 for more information.
