| Nexus is there every step of the way for those who are seeking recovery, providing a continuum of care from Detox through Aftercare: | The Nexus Continuum of Care | Detoxification ServicesThe first step towards the recovery process. We provide detox services for alcohol, sedative, and opiate withdrawal. Medical staff monitors clients in order to ensure stabilization. Clients are encouraged to join residential clients in counseling services as soon as they feel able to participate.

Pregnant/Parenting Women with Children ResidentialOne of a handful of programs in the state that allows women 18 and older to bring as many as three children with them while they are in residential treatment. This program includes parenting education. (Typical length of stay – 30-90 days). Learn More »
Adolescent ResidentialServes teenage girls between the ages of 13 and 17. While in treatment clients attend school on-site with teachers provided by the Dallas Independent School District (DISD). Nexus is the only drug treatment facility in Texas that can accommodate a late term pregnant or newly parenting teen. (Typical length of stay – 30-90 days). Learn More » |

| Specialty Services | Psychiatric Services To meet the specialized needs of clients with a dual diagnosis of addiction and psychiatric disorder, Nexus partnered with UT Southwestern. Through this partnership, an on-site medical director and psychiatric fellows are available to assess clients’ mental health and provide appropriate care. The stabilization of a client’s mental health is a critical first step to achieve benefit from treatment.
Children’s CenterChildren from birth through age 12 that accompany their mothers into treatment participate in therapeutic, prevention, and educational activities. Daycare is provided on-site, and school-aged children attend DISD’s Bayles Elementary School. Learn More »
“Transitions” Housing ProgramNexus was awarded fifteen housing vouchers from the Dallas Housing Authority. Residents work with a case manager on treatment goals and attend group and individual counseling. |
