| The Women’s Auxiliary of Nexus supports the women and adolescents who are receiving treatment at Nexus Recovery Center by hosting the following events: | Children’s Holiday Parties
| | Each year, the Auxiliary hosts Halloween, Christmas, and Easter parties for the children who are living at Nexus Recovery Center while their mothers are receiving in-patient treatment. Many of these children have never attended a Holiday party before, much less met Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny. Refreshments and treats are served while the children make crafts, interact with their mothers, and just enjoy experiencing a real kids’ party. The parties are just as much fun for the auxiliary members as they are for the kids…it is such a treat to see the joy on their faces. |

| Holiday Bazaar & Gift Extravaganza
| | The Holiday Bazaar is held in November each year. Each guest brings an unwrapped children’s gift. The gifts are handed out to the children living at Nexus at the annual children’s Christmas party. As a treat for Auxiliary members, a wide range of vendors offering everything from custom men’s shirts to “The Santa Lady” set up tables at the Bazaar. All vendors donate 20% of their proceeds from the Bazaar to the Auxiliary. |

| Client Massage Nights
| | Once a month, the adult women who are receiving treatment at Nexus are treated to a “massage” night compliments of the Auxiliary. Many of these women have never experienced a healing touch before. |

| Mentoring Program
| | The mentoring program is specifically designed for the adolescent girls who are receiving treatment for their addictions at Nexus. Many of these girls have not had a positive female role model in their lives. Any Auxiliary member who is interested in this program is encouraged to serve as a mentor. |
|
| Clothes Closet/Transitional Housing Needs
| | The Auxiliary collects clothes for women and children, toiletries, and household goods which are available to Nexus clients through the “Clothes Closet”. Located on the Nexus campus, the clothes closet is a vital support service. Some of Nexus’ clients are admitted with only the clothes on their back and many see their size alter as a result of treatment. Others are pregnant and rapidly outgrowing their wardrobe. |

| Fall Membership Event/Spring Luncheon/Cultivation Events
| The Auxiliary hosts several fun social events throughout the year that provide opportunities for the members to get to know each other. Teas, luncheons, fashion shows, and cheese tasting are just a few examples of the highly anticipated events that are offered throughout the year.
100% of all funds raised by the Women’s Auxiliary are donated to Nexus Recovery Center. A few of the programs that these funds have provided include: |
